Selene - Underworld WIP #2

It's nice to be close to completing one after not finding inks that I liked for a while, I was getting tired of flatting pieces and then deciding that I didn't like them as much as I thought I did. So I'm almost done I just need to finish the hair, touch up the background a little bit and add my signature. Should have it finished tomorrow. Thanks for checking in!

Selene - Underworld WIP #1

Well I've had trouble lately finding inks that I felt like coloring, so it's been a while since I've put up a finished piece on DA, But I like this piece and I think it's turning out okay but it's got a ways to go, I haven't even started on Selene yet... Anyways, Thanks for checking in!

Shanna WIP #2 and 3

So on the bottom one (WIP #2) I added a gradient in the background and worked on the skin tones a little bit and on the top one (WIP #3) I finished the her suit, her sword, some of her beads (on her necklace) and most of the skin tones. This piece isn't easy and I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the lack of detail on the bottom of the log but I'll figure something out. Thanks for checking in!

Iron and the maiden WIP #4

Still not sure what I'm doing with the background... I don't hate it, so that's good. It's really fun to color this piece!

Iron and the maiden WIP #3

Finished the flats! I also finished the main character (guy with the guns). I still don't know what I'm going to do with the background. I'll figure it out. Jim Lee's art is so fun to color on.

Iron and the Maiden WIP #2

Well I got tired of doing the flats so I post processed the Skin tones, hair, gloves and pants on the main character (Micheal Irons). I'll keep you updated on my progress. Thanks for checking in!

Iron and The Maiden WIP #1

Got the flats going on this piece. figured I'd put up a lot of WIPs.... I don't know, might as well. This piece is awesome because it's penciled by Jim Lee and inked by Richard Friend. I read this comic a little while back and I loved it, If you haven't had a chance to read it, you should! anyways, I'll keep you updated on my progress! Thanks for checking in!

Fathom WIP #3

Alomst done! I just have the skin tones on Aspen and the hair on both characters. Hardest part with this piece was the background (took about 3 hours) and making it look like there was a surface right there. Funnest part was post processing the bubbles.

Fathom WIP #2

This piece is taking a lot longer to color than I tought it would, It took 4 hours just to flat the bubbles!  I'm not sure about tha skin tones on aspen, she may need to be more tan. The only lighting and darkening I've done is Kiani's skin and armor... anyways, hope you like what I have so far and feel free to comment or critique!

Fathom WIP #1

This is the first WIP of a fathom cover penciled by V. marion and Inked By Jeff Graham. It's taking forever to flat all of the freaking bubbles! I've spent over an hour on them and I'm only like a third a through. Well I got bored of flats and went on to skin tones.

Avengers!

This is an awesome piece by Fred Benes. With 14(!) characters this will probably be the longest a coloring has ever taken me to finish. There's Doctor strange on the very right, but I don't know who the character is next to him. So I'll have to pour through Marvel... I found it! I was just visiting wikipedia and apparently his name is Vision. So, cool!

Lady mechanika IV - WIP 2 & 3

This one I workd on the mechanics and her red suit.
I placed in a background and flatted her wings and the mechanics

Wonder woman Finished

Finished! you know it doesn't matter how good of a job I do when coloring Jim Lee's work, it's still a million miles away from looking even close to as good as Alex Sinclair's colors. I'd be lucky to be half as good as he is one day.

Wonder Woman WIP #3

This is taking forever! Okay So I've finished doing wonder woman but I still have to do the background. The problem is, I feel like wonder woman is missing something... she needs to pop more... not sure what it needs but I'll figure it out. anyways hope you like what I have so far!

Wonder Woman WIP #2

Flats are done! what I have so far took 6 hours to do! Lot of different colors and details!

Wonder Woman WIP #1

This is my first work in progress on this awesome Jim Lee page! It seems like it's going to take a while so I'm probably going to put up a few more WIPs before I'm done. This is one of the those pieces where no matter how good of a job I do It'll not be even close to as good as the original colorist (Alex Sinclair).

Batman finished, Lady Mechanika WIP #1

I'm practicing on 2 things right now, #1 I'm trying to make all of my lighting according to light source and #2 I'm trying to make my characters colors match the environment colors.

This yet another Lady Mechanika piece. I just love coloring Joe benitez' work.

Batman WIP #1

so far I've finished the flats and the skin. I'm still learning what colors to do in order to make the characters match their environment more, because if I were to just do normal colors on say the skin than the character would look like he were in a light of day scene even though it's night out... it's hard to perfect.

Sequential WIP 3 & 4

This one I finished working on superman.
This one I finished the background

I think this is looking pretty good. :)

Sequential WIP 1 & 2

I really liked the pencil work on this and the inks are great too! plus it works really well for face coloring practice, I looked up a ton of coloring tutorials on how to color eyes, hair, noses, lips and really put some time into to making it look good, Hopefully I pulled it off.
